The House
With character decks front and back, sweeping views of the valley, you are greeted by a spacious living area, a classic dining room, character woodfire, and high ceilings.
There are 4 bedrooms (main en suite with walk-in robe that can double up as a nursery at one end of the house), the other 3 rooms (queen, twin and bunk) at the other end of the house, including a 2nd bathroom and guest toilet, as well as fully equipped laundry. Your comfort is well catered for by a wood fire, reverse cycle AC, evaporative air, electric blankets, underfloor insulation, and ceiling fans. The large well-equipped kitchen is backed by a walk-in traditional "fall in love with it" farm pantry.
Stepping out on to the raised North facing front deck, there are 180 degree views into the valley, the choice of a secluded breakfast nook, and a comfy lounging area next to the BBQ, completing your country farm stay.
All essential items including linen and towels are provided. Tea / coffee included, with a Lavazza coffee machine and none other than pure rainwater to drink and shower in.
There are cards, Lego, activities and board games, as well as a TV with a DVD player and DVD library. Free unlimited NBN broadband too. Guests can help themselves to the fruit orchard in season.
The Farm
With 13 acres to enjoy, you can feed the Alpaca's, give the sheep a scratch, fruit trees and vines in the orchard, very much an organic farm stay, you an also challenge yourselves to the mysterious clues of the Tegwan's family Trail, a favourite for all ages, the abundant bird life (60 species) including the elusive Blue Wren and chattering Kookaburra calls, and there are amazing varieties of wild flowers in season. To top it off, an evening stroll to the top of the hill is the perfect sundowner spot under the Karri Trees.

Getting to Tegwan's Nest
Balingup is 237km South of Perth, 2.5 hours drive, just far enough to know that you have gone somewhere special...
Other things to note
4G mobile phone access is excellent, free unlimited NBN WiFi, no TV reception, but an assortment of DVD's and an HDMI cable. Open water in places, but certainly a wonderful place for children/infants (under supervision). No pets unfortunately due to the Alpacas and local shire regulations.
"The house itself is spacious and well laid out with a warm, homely feel. The verandas both sides are excellent for early morning coffee or drinks in the evening"
